BSF Recruitment 2024: The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced significant amendments to its selection process through a corrigendum issued on November 20, 2024. These changes affect several posts, including Group B and C posts in various sectors such as Inspector (Librarian), SMT Workshop, Veterinary Staff, Paramedical Staff, Air Wing, Water Wing, and Engineering Setup.
What changed?
The Border Security Force recruitment process will now take place in a phased manner in multiple stages. The first stage consists of the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
According to the official notice, the PST will be given to assess the height, chest, and weight of the candidates. Candidates who successfully qualify the PST and PET will be able to appear for the exam, which will assess their knowledge and aptitude.
The final stage will include document verification and medical examination for the candidates to ensure that the candidates meet the required health standards for the service.

The final stage includes
Documentation: All documents of the candidates who qualify the written examination will be checked.
Trade Test (for specific posts): Candidates applying for trade-based posts (like SMT Workshop or Veterinary Staff) will have to undergo a trade test to assess their practical skills.
Medical Test: A final medical examination will be conducted to ensure that the candidates meet the required health standards for the respective posts.
