BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025: Border Security Force (BSF) has started the recruitment process for Head Constable, Radio Operator (RO), and Radio Mechanic (RM) posts from today. A total of 1121 posts will be filled through this recruitment. Applications can be made online till 23 September 2025 on the official website of BSF rectt.bsf.gov.in.
A total of 1121 posts will be filled in the BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025. Out of these, 910 posts are for Head Constable (RO) and 211 posts are for Head Constable (RM).
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a 10th pass + ITI Diploma to join this recruitment. ITI Diploma for Radio Operator (RO) post should be in the following subjects: Radio, Television, Electronics, COPA, General Electronics, and Data Entry Operator.
At the same time, for the post of Radio Mechanic (RM), the candidate should have 2 2-year ITI Diploma in Radio, Television, General Electronics, COPA, Electrician, Fitter, IT and ESM, Data Entry Operator, Equipment Maintenance, Computer Hardware, and Mechatronics.
Minimum age 18 years
For BSF Head Constable Recruitment, the age of the candidate should be at least 18 years and a maximum of 25 years, which will be calculated based on 23 September 2025.
Reserved category candidates will be provided relaxation in the maximum age limit as per government rules. This rule ensures that all eligible candidates can participate in the application process.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected in three stages. The first stage is the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). In PST, the height of the male candidate should be at least 168 cm, and that of the female should be 157 cm. The chest of the male candidate should be 80 cm, which should increase to 85 cm when full. PET will include activities like running, long jump, and high jump.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The second stage is the Computer-Based Test (CBT). There will be a total of 250 marks for Radio Operator (CBT 200 + Dictation 50 marks), while for Radio Mechanic, a CBT paper of a total of 200 marks will be conducted. In this stage, the technical ability and subject knowledge of the candidates will be evaluated. The third stage is Document Verification (DV), in which the candidates will have to submit all the relevant original documents.
Salary up to 81,100
The selected candidates will get a salary as per the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC) Pay-Level-4 in BSF, whose basic salary can start from Rs 25,500 and go up to a maximum of Rs 81,100 after increment and allowances.
