The Bihar Police Opportunity Service Commission (BPSSC) has received a requisition for filling 1,799 vacant SI positions. It should be noted that the BPSSC is currently conducting recruitment for 33 Enforcement Sub-Inspector positions in the Transport Department and 28 Sub-Inspector positions in the Prohibition Department.

Eligibility for Bihar Police Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any subject
Age Limit: 18 to 37 years; age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates.

Height
For men from unreserved categories and backward classes - 165 cm
For men from extremely backward classes, SC, and ST categories - 160 cm
For women from all categories - 155 cm and a minimum weight of 48 kg.
Chest for men
Unreserved categories, backward classes, and extremely backward classes - 81 cm without inflation and 86 cm after inflation. The chest must expand by at least 5 cm.
SC and ST categories - 79 cm without inflation and 84 cm after inflation. The chest must expand by at least 5 cm.

How will the selection be conducted?
1. Preliminary written examination
2. Main written examination
3. Physical test
The merit list for final selection will be based on the scores obtained in the main examination. Passing the physical test is the only requirement.
