The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released a notification for recruitment to the posts of Havildar Clerk (Adhinayak Clerk) in the Home Guard cadre. A total of 64 posts will be filled through this recruitment. The commission has started the online application process from January 2, 2026, and candidates who have passed the 12th grade can apply. This recruitment process will be completed based on a written examination and a physical efficiency test.

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission has released a notification under advertisement number 01/2026 for the recruitment of 64 vacant posts of Havildar Clerk (Adhinayak Clerk) in the Home Guard cadre. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from January 2, 2026, to February 2, 2026, by visiting the commission's official website bpssc.bihar.gov.in.

The minimum educational qualification for these posts is Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent. Regarding the age limit, the minimum age is 18 years. The maximum age is 37 years for the unreserved category, 40 years for BC-OBC, and 42 years for the SC-ST category. The age and educational qualifications will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. Selected candidates will receive a salary under Level 4.

Selection Process
The selection process in this recruitment will be completed in two stages. In the first stage, a written competitive examination will be conducted, which will be equivalent to the 10th standard (Matriculation) level. The examination will be of 100 marks, with 100 objective questions asked from Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs. The duration of the examination will be two hours. Candidates scoring less than 30 percent in the written examination will be considered ineligible for the physical efficiency test.

Exam Pattern
The written examination will be qualifying only; the final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the physical efficiency test. The physical test will be for a total of 100 marks, including running, shot put, and high jump. Male candidates will have to complete a 1.6-kilometer run in 6 minutes, while female candidates will have to complete a 1-kilometer run.

Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the prescribed standards for height, chest, and weight. Candidates who do not meet the standards will be declared unsuccessful. Therefore, interested candidates are advised to read the complete notification carefully before applying.
