BPSC MVI Recruitment 2025: There is good news for 10th-pass youth dreaming of a government job in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification for recruitment to 28 posts of Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in till July 3, 2025.

The BPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Recruitment Exam will be held on the 10th and 11th of August, 2025. The last date to apply for this recruitment has been fixed as July 3, 2025.

Opportunity for 10th pass

For this recruitment, those youth can apply who have passed 10th from a recognized board and also have a three-year diploma in automobile or mechanical engineering. Also, the candidate must have a valid driving license to drive a geared motorcycle and light vehicle.

Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidates applying for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector has been fixed at 18 years and the maximum age at 40 years. This age limit will be valid as of August 1, 2025. SC, ST, OBC, Women, and Divyang candidates will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules of the Bihar State Government.

Pay Scale
Under this recruitment drive, the selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector. The pay scale for this post has been fixed at Level 6, which will be by the government pay scale structure. The selected candidates will also receive dearness allowance, HRA, and other allowances along with basic pay.

How will the selection process be?
Candidates will be selected based on written examination and interview. The exam will be based on three subjects:

General Studies - 100 marks

Automobile or Mechanical Engineering - 100 marks

Motor Vehicle Rules and Act - 100 marks

Each paper will be objective and multiple choice (MCQ), in which 2 hours will be given.

Application Fee

General category and other unreserved category candidates will have to pay Rs 750. On the other hand, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, women of all categories, and candidates with 40% or more disability will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200.
