Revised Vacancies for the 72nd CCE Recruitment
The BPSC has issued a revised notification (Corrigendum) for the 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination 2026. This revision has been made in reference to the original advertisement issued on May 5, 2026.
According to the new notice, 44 posts for the position of 'Cane Officer' within the Sugarcane Industry Department have been removed from the recruitment process. These posts were listed at Serial Number 11 in Table 1.
The reason for this change is that, under the Bihar Sugarcane Development Rules 2025, these posts fall under the category of Assistant Director (Sugarcane Development) and other equivalent positions, the eligibility criteria and examination pattern for which differ from those of the Combined Competitive Examination.
Consequently, these posts have been excluded from the current recruitment process. Following this revision, the total number of vacancies now stands at 1,186.
Application Process to Begin on May 7
The application process commenced on May 7, 2026, and candidates may submit their applications online until May 31, 2026. Interested candidates can visit the official website to access all important information regarding the examination, such as the syllabus, eligibility criteria, and exam dates.
This examination is conducted annually with the objective of selecting qualified graduates for various key positions within the Government of Bihar. Selected candidates are appointed to various administrative services, including the post of Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO).
