BPSC 71st CCE Vacancy: The Bihar Public Service Commission has changed the date of the 71st Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination - Preliminary. As per the earlier schedule, this exam was scheduled to be held on August 30, 2025. As per the latest notice, now this exam will be conducted on September 10.

Along with this, the commission has increased the number of vacancies. Earlier, a notification was issued for appointment to 1,250 posts. Now 14 more vacancies have been added to it. Thus, a recruitment examination will be conducted for a total of 1,264 posts. Out of these, 14 vacancies of Deputy Superintendent of Police have been increased. The commission has said that all the conditions of recruitment will remain the same.

Increase in the number of vacancies category-wise

Of these, 6 vacancies are in the unreserved category, 1 EWS, 3 vacancies SC, 3 vacancies OBC and 1 vacancy is in BC category. Thus, a total of 14 vacancies have been increased, out of which 4 vacancies are reserved for female candidates.

Earlier, the Commission had issued a notice informing that a requisition has been received for appointment to 14 posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police. Now these vacancies have also been included in the current recruitment. Thus, now the number of vacancies has increased to 1,264.

It was written in the notice, "On 16.06.2025, a requisition has been received from the Home Department (Police Branch), Bihar, Patna for appointment to 14 vacant posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police. Therefore, including the said posts, now the total number of posts under the Integrated 71st Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination has become 1,264."
