The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially announced the interview schedule for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), bringing clarity for thousands of candidates awaiting the final stage of the recruitment process. According to the notification, the first phase of interviews will be conducted from January 21, 2026, to February 28, 2026.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the main examination are eligible to appear for the interview round. The detailed schedule, including dates, shifts, and roll number-wise allocation, has been released on the commission’s official website. Aspirants are advised to rely only on official updates for accurate information related to the interview process.

Over 5,400 Candidates Shortlisted for Interview

BPSC had earlier declared the results of the 70th CCE main examination, in which 5,401 candidates were declared successful and shortlisted for the interview stage. The main examination was conducted between April 25 and April 30, 2025, across 32 examination centres. A total of 20,034 candidates had appeared for the mains exam, making the competition extremely tough.

With the announcement of the interview schedule, the recruitment process has now entered its final and most crucial phase.

Interviews to Be Held in Two Shifts Daily

As per the commission’s notification, interviews will be conducted in two sessions each day throughout the first phase.

  • Morning session: From 10:30 AM

  • Afternoon session: From 2:30 PM

Candidates have been instructed to check their roll numbers carefully in the official schedule to confirm their allotted date and session. The commission has also clarified that the dates for the second phase of interviews will be announced separately at a later stage.

Admit Card Release Details

BPSC has confirmed that the interview admit cards will be made available on the official website one week before the commencement of interviews. Candidates will be required to download the admit card using their roll number.

It is important to note that no admit cards will be sent by post. Entry to the interview venue will be strictly based on the printed admit card and valid identification documents.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates must report to the commission’s office at least one hour before their scheduled interview time. Late arrival may lead to disqualification from the interview process.

The commission has also stated that the medical examination of candidates will be conducted on the same day as the interview at a designated location. Candidates should be mentally and physically prepared for the process.

Prohibited Items at Interview Venue

For security and fairness, candidates are not allowed to carry:

  • Mobile phones

  • Bluetooth or Wi-Fi devices

  • Smart or digital watches

  • Electronic pens, pagers, or similar gadgets

Additionally, relatives or accompanying persons will not be permitted inside the commission’s premises during the interview.

Interview Preparation Guidelines

Candidates are advised to:

  • Regularly check the official website for updates

  • Carry printed copies of the admit card

  • Bring original documents such as educational certificates, mark sheets, and category certificates along with photocopies

  • Dress in simple, formal attire

  • Remain calm, confident, and clear while answering questions

Experts suggest that candidates should focus on clarity of thought, administrative awareness, and honest responses rather than memorised answers.
