BOB LBO Recruitment 2025: There is good news for the youth preparing to make a career in the banking sector. Bank of Baroda (BOB) has extended the registration last date for the ongoing recruitment process for Local Bank Officer (LBO) posts. Now interested and eligible candidates can apply till 3 August 2025 by visiting the official website bankofbaroda.in. Earlier, this date was 24 July 2025.
A total of 2500 posts will be recruited.
Through this recruitment drive, 2500 Local Bank Officer posts will be filled. Out of a total of 2500 vacancies, 1043 posts are reserved for the unreserved (general) category. Apart from this, 367 posts are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 178 posts for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 667 posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 245 posts for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates. The selected candidates will be placed on a probation period of one year, during which their work performance will be evaluated.
Qualification and Eligibility
The applicant must have a graduation degree from any recognized university or institute. Apart from this, professional degree holders like Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Engineering, or Medical are also eligible for this recruitment. Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) can also apply. The age of the applying candidate should be between 21 and 30 years as on 1 July 2025. Candidates from reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules.
Bond Terms
The selected candidates will be required to serve for a minimum of 3 years after appointment. For this, they will have to fill a bond of Rs 5,00,000 (Rs five lakh). If a candidate resigns before this stipulated service period or violates the terms of the contract, he will have to pay this amount to the bank. This condition has been implemented keeping in mind the cost of training, resources, and recruitment process provided by the bank.
Basic salary will be Rs 48,480
The selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Assistant Manager (Scale-1). On this post, they will get a salary ranging from Rs 48,480 to Rs 85,920. Initially, the basic salary will be Rs 48,480, which will increase according to the fixed amount after every few years. As the service period of the employee increases, the salary will also keep increasing.
How will the selection be done?
The selection process will include online examination, psychometric test, language proficiency test, group discussion, and/or interview. Candidates who are successful in the online examination will be called for further language proficiency tests.
