Big news has come out from Bihar. The Nitish government has made a big announcement before the Bihar assembly elections. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the Bihar government will give government jobs and employment to one crore youth in the next five years (2025 to 2030), doubling the target of the year 2020-25. For this, new jobs and employment opportunities will also be created in the private, especially in industrial sectors. A high-level committee is being formed regarding this. In this regard, the state CM Nitish Kumar has also shared a post from his handle on the social media platform X.
The Chief Minister has written in the post, "It has been our thinking from the beginning that the maximum number of youth in the state should get government jobs and employment. Between the years 2005 and 2020, more than 8 lakh youth were given government jobs in the state. To further increase the pace of providing government jobs and employment to the youth of the state, in the year 2020, we had resolved to provide government jobs to 10 lakh youth and employment to 10 lakh people in the program of good governance, Saat Nischay-2. Later, it was increased to a target of providing government jobs to 12 lakh youth and employment to 38 lakh people by August 2025, setting a target of providing a total of 50 lakh jobs/employment."
"I am happy to inform that so far 10 lakh youth have been given government jobs and about 39 lakh people have been given employment in the state and the target of providing government jobs/employment to more than 50 lakh youth will definitely be achieved."
'A skill university will be established for skill development'
The CM further wrote, "Currently, under the Seven Nischay, the youth of the state are also being given skill development training to connect them with self-employment. In the next five years, the program running under the Seven Nischay for skill development of the youth will be expanded. In the coming time, a skill university will be established for skill development, which will be named Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Skill University after Bihar's pride Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpuri Thakur ji so that the youth of the state can get a new direction of skill development.
