There is great news for young people in Bihar who dream of becoming teachers. The recruitment process for TRE-4 is set to commence in Bihar during the month of July. The Education Department is currently engaged in the final preparations to issue the official notification for this process. Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has stated that, come what may, the application process will begin in July. Necessary directives regarding this have already been issued to the concerned officials.

**What Did the Education Minister Say Regarding the Number of Vacancies?**
Regarding the teacher recruitment drive, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari explained that, initially, approximately 46,000 teachers were slated to be recruited through TRE-4. However, the current recruitment drive will cover approximately 20,000 posts. Nevertheless, when asked about the exact number of vacancies, the Education Minister advised candidates to wait a little longer for the precise figures. He gave an assurance that a sufficient and appropriate number of vacancies would be released this time, ensuring that no eligible candidate would face disappointment.

**Annual Vacancies: Benefiting Both New and Experienced Candidates**
The Bihar government has now formulated a long-term policy. The government's objective is to recruit 100,000 teachers over the next five years. Under this scheme, approximately 20,000 teachers will now be recruited annually. He noted that this approach would yield two major benefits. The first benefit is that students completing their studies each year will not have to endure a long wait for vacancies to arise. The second benefit is that candidates who, for any reason, were not selected in previous attempts will have the opportunity to rectify their shortcomings and appear for the examination multiple times.

**Bihar to Have 680,000 Teachers by 2030**
Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari highlighted that large-scale teacher appointments have already been carried out in Bihar across the three previous phases of recruitment. He stated that, to date, approximately 250,000 teachers have been recruited. Following these recruitments, the total number of government teachers in Bihar has reached approximately 580,000. Now, in accordance with the government's new strategic plan, the total number of teachers in the state is projected to reach 680,000 by the year 2030. He added that preparations at the departmental level are in their final stages; therefore, candidates should intensify their preparation efforts. Its detailed advertisement may be released at any time in July.
