Bihar CGL Exam 2025 Apply Online: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has extended the CGL 2025 application date; candidates can now apply until October 16.

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has extended the last date for applying for the fourth Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (CGL 2025). The last date for applications was originally set for September 26, but now, in a relief to candidates, the Commission has extended it to October 16, 2025. This means that candidates who have not yet applied still have a golden opportunity.

The last date for submitting examination fees has also been extended. Previously, this date was September 24, but now candidates can pay the fee until October 14. The Commission states that this decision has been taken in the best interests of the candidates.

This recruitment drive will fill vacant positions in various departments of the Bihar government. A total of 1,481 positions are to be filled, of which 510 are reserved for women. The highest number of vacancies are in the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, where 1,138 positions will be filled. The Building Construction Department will also have 500 positions filled.

Required Qualifications

Regarding eligibility, the minimum educational qualification for these positions is a 10th-grade pass. The age limit is set from 18 to 37 years. Women will receive a 3-year age relaxation. Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class candidates will also receive a 3-year age relaxation. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation. Age will be calculated from August 1, 2025.

Selection Process

The selection process will be completed in two stages: a preliminary examination, followed by a main examination. Only candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear in the main examination. After this, the final merit list will be prepared, and the recruitment process will be completed.

The application fee is set at ₹100 for all categories of candidates. Whether male, female, disabled, or from outside Bihar, everyone will have to pay the same fee.

The application process is also simple. Candidates must register by visiting the BSSC's official website, bssc.bihar.gov.in. After this, they must fill in the required information, upload documents, and pay the fee. Finally, submit the application form and save a printout.
