Bihar SHS Recruitment 2025: State Health Society (SHS) of the Bihar Government has started the recruitment process for Ophthalmic Assistant posts. A total of 220 posts will be recruited through this recruitment. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website shs.bihar.gov.in. The last date to fill the application form is 28 August 2025, till 6 pm.

Candidates willing to apply for Ophthalmic Assistant posts must have ISC (Biology or Mathematics) / 10 + 2 (Biology or Mathematics) with a year's Diploma in Optometry. In addition, two years of training as an Ophthalmic Assistant in a recognized government hospital, as per the guidelines of NPCB, is also valid.

Apart from this, candidates can apply if they also have ISC / 10 + 2 with a year's Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant from a government, private, or semi-government institution recognized by the Government of Bihar.

What should be the age? The minimum age of the candidates for this recruitment has been fixed at 21 years, and the age will be calculated on the basis of 1st August 2025. The maximum age limit is different for different categories. 37 years for males of the unreserved/EWS category, 40 years for males and females of backward/extremely backward class, 40 years for females of the unreserved/EWS category, and 42 years for males and females of the Scheduled Caste/Tribe.

This much will be the application fee.
The application fee is different according to the category. The fee for general, backward, extremely backward, and EWS category candidates is Rs 500. The fee for SC/ST and female candidates of the state is Rs 125. Rs 500 has been fixed for all other candidates, and Rs 125 for Divyang candidates (40% or more).

First of all, go to the official website shs.bihar.gov.in.
If you are a new candidate, then click on "New Registration" and register by filling in your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc.
After registration, log in with the given username and password.
Fill in the personal information, educational qualification, experience, and other required details correctly in the form.
Scan and upload the required documents like educational certificate, diploma certificate, age certificate, photo, and signature.
Pay the prescribed application fee online as per your category.
After submission, keep a print out of the application with you.
