State Health Committee, Bihar, has issued an official notification for the recruitment of a total of 220 posts of Ophthalmic Assistant. If you also want to join the (Bihar SHS Recruitment 2025) recruitment campaign, then you will be able to apply for these posts soon. Let us tell you, 87 posts for the general category, 22 posts for the EWS category, 35 posts for the SC, 3 posts for ST, 40 posts for EBC, 26 posts for BC, and a total of 7 posts for WBC have been reserved by the State Health Committee, Bihar. The application process for these posts will start from August 14. Also, interested and eligible candidates can apply till 6 pm on August 28, 2025. Educational Qualification

To apply for the post of Ophthalmic Assistant, candidates must have passed class XII with Biology and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board of India. Also, the candidates should have a two-year diploma in optometry. Apart from this, the candidates should also have other prescribed eligibility criteria.

Age limit
The minimum age of the candidates to apply for this post has been fixed at 21 years. Apart from this, the maximum age of general category candidates is 37 years, the maximum age of female candidates of OBC, general, and EWS categories is 40 years, and the maximum age for SC and ST candidates is 42 years.

Application fee
The application fee for general, OBC, and EWS candidates is Rs 500. For permanent residents of Bihar state (SC/ST) candidates and female candidates of reserved/unreserved category and Divyang candidates, the application fee has been fixed at Rs 125.

Exam pattern
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination. In the written examination, candidates will be asked 100 multiple-choice type questions of 100 marks from the subjects of general awareness, reasoning, numerical ability, and technical ability. There is no provision of negative marking for wrong answers in the exam.
