Bihar Police SI Recruitment: Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to Sub Inspector posts. For this, an online application has to be done by visiting bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The last date to fill out the online form for this recruitment is 27 March 2025. According to the notification, through this recruitment process, there will be an appointment to the post of Excise Sub Inspector (Sub Inspector Prohibition). Selected candidates will be given a pay scale as per Level 6.
The application fee for the post of Excise Sub Inspector is Rs 700 for OBC, Extremely Backward Class, EWS, Unreserved Category, and candidates of other states who are natives of Bihar state. The application fee for all SC / ST category candidates who are natives of Bihar is Rs 400.
Qualification for recruitment to the post of Excise Inspector
Candidates must have passed the graduation level examination by 1 August 2024. The age limit for this post is 20 to 37 years. The maximum age limit for female candidates is 40 years. Candidates from reserved categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules.
Physical criteria
Height, chest, and weight will be qualifying. This means that it is necessary to fulfill the minimum criteria. But no marks will be given for this.
(a) Height-
1. For male candidates of the general category- minimum height 165 cm
2. For males of extremely backward, SC/ST category- minimum height 160 cm
3. For females of all categories- minimum height 155 cm
b. Chest (only for males)
1. For general category/backward/extremely backward class-
Without inflation- 81 cm
With inflation- 86 cm
2. For the SC and ST category
Without inflation- 79 cm
With inflation- 84 cm
(After inflation, there must be a difference of at least 5 cm)
c. Weight- The weight of females of all categories must be a minimum 48 kg.
