**Application dates**
The online application process for the School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026 will commence on October 1 and continue until the deadline of October 21, 2026. Candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the official Bihar Board website; applications submitted via any other method will not be accepted. **Exam schedule**
The Bihar Board has announced the exam date alongside the application dates. **Eligibility criteria for librarian recruitment**
To apply for librarian posts, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Library Science with at least 45% marks.
A 5% relaxation is granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories, persons with disabilities (PwD), and female candidates; meaning, candidates from these categories must have passed their bachelor's degree with a minimum of 40% marks.

Additionally, passing the eligibility test is mandatory.
The minimum age for candidates is 21 years. Under the new regulations, a 10-year relaxation in the maximum age limit will be provided for this recruitment drive. According to the new recruitment rules, 35 percent of the total posts could be reserved for women.
