Recruitment has been announced for 1075 vacant posts of Lab Technician by the State Health Society (SHS) of the Government of Bihar. The online application process for this recruitment has started. Educational Qualification and Age for Recruitment

To apply for this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 37 years. Candidates coming from the reserved category and female candidates have been given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules. Age will be calculated as per 1st August 2025.

Educational Qualification

To apply for Laboratory Technician posts, the candidate should have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects and also done Graduation in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) or a Diploma in DMLT.

To fill the form for Senior Laboratory Technician posts, the candidate should have an M.Sc. Medical Microbiology, Applied Microbiology / General Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry (with or without DMLT).

And two years of work experience in TB laboratory testing Mycobacterium tuberculosis related genotypic testing (nucleic acid amplification test, line probe assay) / phenotypic testing (culture and drug susceptibility test).

Or B.Sc. Microbiology (with DMLT) / B.Sc. Biotechnology (with DMLT) / B.Sc. Biochemistry (with DMLT) / B.Sc. Chemistry (with DMLT) / B.Sc. Life Science (including DMLT) / B.Sc. Botany (including DMLT) / B.Sc. Zoology (including DMLT)

And three years of work experience in TB laboratory testing Mycobacterium tuberculosis related genotypic testing (nucleic acid amplification test, line probe assay) / phenotypic testing (culture and drug sensitivity test).
