Bihar Jobs 2025: Recruitment is open for the positions of Assistant Director and Senior Scientific Assistant in the Bihar Police CID Department. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, police.bihar.gov.in, until October 31, 2025.

A total of 189 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive, including 89 Assistant Director and 100 Senior Scientific Assistant positions, on a temporary contract basis for 11 months only.

Recruitment for Assistant Directors
Chemistry Division: To become an Assistant Director, candidates in the Chemistry Division must have an MSc or MTech degree in one of the following disciplines: Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Toxicology.

Physics Division: Candidates must have an MSc or MTech degree in Forensic Science, Physics, or Mathematics. For B.Tech or B.E. candidates, the subjects can be Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical, with one year of specialization required.

Biology Division: Candidates must have an MSc or MTech. A degree in one of the disciplines of Forensic Science, Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, or Molecular Biology is required.

Psychology Division: Candidates must have an MSc, MTech, or M.Phil. This degree requires a specialization in Psychology or Clinical Psychology.

Recruitment for Senior Scientific Assistant Positions
Chemistry Division: Candidates must have an MSc or MTech. This degree should include a degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Toxicology.

Physics Division: Candidates must have an MSc or MTech in Forensic Science, Physics, or Mathematics. Additionally, candidates with a BTech/BE in Computer Science, Electronics, or Instrumentation are required to complete a one-year specialization.

Biology Division: Candidates must have an MSc or MTech. For this position, a degree in one of the following subjects: Forensic Science, Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, or Molecular Biology is required.

Psychology Division: Candidates in the Psychology Division must have an MSc, MTech, or MA. Specialization in Psychology or Clinical Psychology is mandatory.

Age Limit and Application Fee
The minimum age limit for the above positions is 21 years, calculated as of 01.10.2025. The maximum age limit for retired officials is 65 years.

The application fee for each application is ₹100, which can be submitted online or through a demand draft.
