The Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released a recruitment notification (Advt. No.-02/2026: From Bihar Home Guard) to fill 64 vacant posts of Police Havildar and Clerk in the Home Guard department, following direct recruitment for the same positions. Applications for these posts started on January 5th.
Candidates seeking government jobs can apply online through the official BPSSC website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates from all states are eligible to apply for this recruitment.
Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (12th) class by August 1, 2025.
The minimum age is 24 years, and the maximum age is 50 years.
Physical Standards
Male candidates from the Unreserved and Backward Classes must have a minimum height of 165 cm and a chest measurement of 81 cm (unexpanded) and 86 cm (expanded). Male candidates from Extremely Backward Classes, SC, and ST categories must have a minimum height of 160 cm and a chest measurement of 79 cm (unexpanded) and 84 cm (expanded). The minimum height for female candidates of all categories is 155 cm.
Application Process and Fees
To fill the Bihar Clerk Havildar application form, first visit the official website bpssc.bihar.gov.in.
On the homepage, click on the Home Guard button.
Then click on Application Link-Ref.: Advt. No.-02/2026: Apply Online for the Post of Havildar Clerk (From Bihar Home Guard) in Bihar Home Guard under Home Dept. (Special), Govt. of Bihar.
First, click on Registration to register and pay the fees.
After that, click on Fill Application Form and complete the form by filling in the required information.
Finally, check the application status by clicking on View Application Status and save a printout of the form for future reference.
All candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100 along with the application form. The fees can be paid online.
