CAPF Vacancy: If you want a job (Sarkari Naukri) in Paramilitary Forces, then good news may come for you soon. Many posts are vacant for this. Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai informed in the Rajya Sabha that as of January 1, 2025, a total of 1,09,868 posts were vacant in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles. Out of these, the recruitment process is going on for 72,689 posts.
Increase in sanctioned posts
According to the data provided by Rai, the number of sanctioned posts in CAPF and Assam Rifles was 10,04,980 in the year 2021, which has increased to 10,67,110 in the year 2025. The minister said that vacancies in the forces occur due to situations like retirement, resignation, promotion, death, formation of new battalions, and creation of new posts. He clarified that the process of filling vacancies continues continuously.
Measures to speed up the recruitment process
The government is actively working to fill the vacancies soon. For this, recruitment is being done through UPSC, SSC, and related forces. Rai said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has also been signed with the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to speed up the recruitment of Constable (GD) posts.
Appointments also accelerated on non-general duty posts
All CAPFs and Assam Rifles have been instructed to make appointments on non-general duty (Non-GD) posts as well. The ministry has implemented the following several measures to speed up the recruitment process.
Timely DPC meetings: Regular meetings of Departmental Promotion Committees are being held to fill the vacancies related to promotion.
Improvement in medical process: The time taken in the process of medical test has been reduced.
Relaxation in cut-off marks: Cut-off marks have also been relaxed to increase the number of candidates for constable and general duty posts.
