BHU School Teaching Vacancy 2025: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the recruitment notification for school teaching positions for 2025. A total of 55 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment for the posts of Principal, PGT, TGT, and PRT. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official BHU recruitment portal. The last date for application and fee payment is January 5, 2026, while the last date for submitting the hard copy of the application is January 10, 2026.
A total of 55 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment, including 3 posts for Principal, 9 posts for PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), 36 posts for TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), and 7 posts for PRT (Primary Teacher).
Who can apply?
To become a Principal, candidates must have a Master's degree with at least 50% marks, a B.Ed degree, and experience as a Principal, Vice-Principal, or PGT in government schools. For PGT positions, a Master's degree (50%) in the relevant subject or an integrated M.Sc. and B.Ed from RCE is required. For TGT positions, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (50%) in the relevant subject or from RCE and a B.Ed degree, along with passing the CTET examination.
For PRT positions, the minimum qualification is 50% marks in 12th grade, along with a D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, or a Diploma in Special Education, and passing the CTET exam.
Age Limit
The age limit for the Principal is 35 to 55 years. The maximum age limit for PGT is 40 years, for TGT is 35 years, and for PRT is 30 years.
Age relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of India rules. This benefit will be available to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities, and Ex-servicemen candidates. Selection Process
The selection process for BHU school teaching positions involves reviewing the candidate's qualifications and application. A written examination may be conducted if necessary (syllabus will be announced later). This will be followed by a presentation and interview. In the final stage, the documents of the selected candidates will be verified, and only then will the appointment be confirmed.
Salary and Allowances
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. The salary is fixed at Rs. 78,800 (Level 12) for Principal, Rs. 47,600 (Level 8) for PGT, Rs. 44,900 (Level 7) for TGT, and Rs. 35,400 (Level 6) for PRT. In addition, all eligible candidates will receive other allowances as per university rules.
