How many positions are open?
BDL has announced recruitment for a total of 80 Management Trainee positions. These positions cover areas such as engineering, finance, and human resources.
Qualifications
For Management Trainee positions, candidates must have a degree from a recognized university in the relevant field. For engineering positions, a BE or B.Tech degree is required, which must be in the same stream. For finance positions, a CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance is required. For HR positions, a degree in MBA or PGDM is required.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for general candidates is 27 years, while for candidates with a CA or CMA qualification, the age limit is 28 years. Relaxations in age will be provided to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates as per government regulations.
Application Fee
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS candidates is ₹500, while SC, ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen candidates are exempt. Fees can be paid online via UPI, net banking, debit card, or credit card.
Selection Process
Selection for Management Trainee positions at BDL will be based on two stages.
Stage 1 -
A computer-based test (CBT) will consist of 150 questions, 100 of which will be from the relevant subject and 50 from general aptitude. The exam will be conducted for 2 hours and will carry a weightage of 85 percent.
Stage 2 -
An interview will be conducted, carrying a weightage of 15 percent. Only candidates who pass the CBT will be considered for the interview. A final merit list will be prepared based on both stages, and candidates will be selected accordingly.
