The maximum age limit for these positions is 28 years. However, reserved category candidates will receive a five-year age relaxation. Selected candidates will receive a good salary package. They will receive 30,000 rupees per month in the first year. The salary will increase to 35,000 rupees per month in the second year and reach 40,000 rupees per month by the third year.

Recruitment at BEL will be based entirely on merit. Candidates will have to take a written examination, which will last 90 minutes. This exam will consist of 85 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark, while an incorrect answer will carry 0.25 marks. Therefore, candidates will need to prepare thoroughly to succeed in the exam.

General category, OBC, and EWS candidates will have to pay an application fee of ₹177. However, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates are exempted from the application fee.
