Central Bank of India has issued a recruitment notification for 4,500 apprentice positions for the 2026-27 financial year. Candidates selected through this recruitment drive will receive practical training in banking operations. The application process began on June 12, and interested candidates can apply online until June 22, 2026. This is considered a golden opportunity for graduates to gain experience in the banking sector.

This recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the bank's official website within the stipulated timeframe. The application process will remain open until June 22, 2026, while the online examination is likely to be held in the first week of July.

Who can apply?
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age as of May 31, 2026. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government regulations. Regarding educational qualifications, a graduation degree from a recognized university is mandatory.

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹15,000
Candidates selected as apprentices will undergo training for 12 months. During this period, they will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. However, apprentices will not be entitled to any other allowances or additional benefits.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a computer-based online examination and a local language proficiency test. The examination will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The test will cover topics such as General and Financial Awareness, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, English, and questions related to banking products and services. Notably, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. 

Application Fee and Registration
The application fee has been set at ₹400 for differently-abled candidates, ₹600 for SC, ST, female, and other specified categories, and ₹800 for General and OBC categories. Candidates are required to register on the NATS or BFSI SSC portal before applying.
