Banking Jobs: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has issued an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for 750 apprentice positions across various states and Union Territories. These roles entail a one-year contract period, in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961, and the bank's apprenticeship policy.

The online application process for these 750 apprentice positions began on July 7, and the deadline to apply is July 20. Candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms via the official IOB website on or before the specified deadline. However, prior to applying, candidates are required to register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), and BFSI Employment Exchange Portal (BEEP) portals.

State-wise Apprenticeship Vacancies
IOB has announced vacancies for 750 apprentice posts across various states and Union Territories. The breakdown is as follows: Andaman and Nicobar Islands (1), Andhra Pradesh (15), Arunachal Pradesh (1), Assam (4), Bihar (35), Chandigarh (4), Chhattisgarh (10), Daman and Diu (1), Delhi (53), Gujarat (16), Goa (1), Himachal Pradesh (1), Haryana (16), Jammu and Kashmir (2), Jharkhand (8), Karnataka (6), Kerala (33), Manipur (4), Meghalaya (2), Maharashtra (85), Mizoram (2), Madhya Pradesh (12), Nagaland (1), Odisha (22), Punjab (24), Puducherry (12), Rajasthan (16), Sikkim (2), Telangana (6), Tamil Nadu (200), Tripura (2), Uttarakhand (8), Uttar Pradesh (110), and West Bengal (35).

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized institution or university, or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Age Limit

The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years and the maximum at 28 years, calculated as of July 1st. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be selected based on an online written examination (objective type), a local language test, document verification, and a final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹15,500. The online examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on August 2nd. 

Application Fee
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online based on their category: ₹944 for General/OBC/EWS (Male), ₹708 for General/OBC/EWS (Female), and ₹236 for SC/ST/PwBD. Please note that the deadline for submitting the application fee on the BEEP portal is July 22.
