MPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026: If you want to get a government job as an Assistant Professor, then a new recruitment drive has been announced in Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released over 900 vacancies for Assistant Professors in the Higher Education Department. What are the eligibility criteria for an Assistant Professor?
Educational Qualification: A Master's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 percent marks is required. Candidates must also have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) or the State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by the Madhya Pradesh government. Candidates holding a Ph.D. in the relevant subject are also eligible to apply and are exempted from the NET/SET requirement.
Age Limit: The minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 40 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to domiciled residents of Madhya Pradesh and candidates belonging to reserved categories as per rules. The age limit will be calculated with reference to January 1, 2026.
What is the salary?
Candidates selected for the Assistant Professor position will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 57,700 as per Academic Level 10. In this recruitment process, candidates will be selected through a written examination and an interview.
SC, ST, and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will have to pay an application fee of ₹250 while filling out the online form. General and out-of-state candidates will have to pay an examination fee of ₹500.
