The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has released an official notification for recruitment to a total of 1,715 police constable positions in the Assam Police. Candidates interested in police constable positions will be able to apply soon. The application window for these positions will be activated on December 16th. Salary:
Candidates selected for police constable positions will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹70,000.

Eligibility Criteria for Application
The age of candidates to apply will be calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from special categories. SC and ST candidates will be given a five-year relaxation, and OBC candidates will be given a three-year relaxation.
To apply for positions in the Armed Branch (AB), candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognized institution in India. For positions in the Unarmed Branch (UB), Class 12 is mandatory.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and a written examination. The written examination will cover topics such as Basic Arithmetic, General English, Reasoning, Assam History, Geography, Politics, General Awareness, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs. A total of 100 questions will be asked. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates selected in this examination will be called for a viva voce.
