Great news for candidates interested in apprentice positions in the Railways. Applications have been invited for apprentice positions in the South Eastern Railway. The last date to apply is December 17, 2025; interested candidates should apply on or before this date.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for this position must have passed Matriculation (Matriculation or 10th class under 10+2 examination system) from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks (excluding additional subjects) and possess an ITI certificate (in the trade in which the apprenticeship is to be done) awarded by NCVT/SCVT.

The age limit of the candidate must be between 15 years and 24 years as on January 1, 2026. Only the age mentioned in the Matriculation certificate or birth certificate will be considered for this purpose.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on the (trade-wise) merit list prepared for all the candidates applying under the notification in the respective trades. The merit list for each trade will be prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation with a minimum of 50% (aggregate). For calculating the percentage of Matriculation, the marks obtained by the candidate in all subjects will be counted and not on the basis of marks in any one subject or group of subjects.
