There is great news for young aspirants preparing to join the Indian Coast Guard. The Indian Coast Guard has released the notification and commenced the application process for the recruitment of Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch), Yantrik, and Hygienist-I (CGEPT Batch 1/2027 and 02/2027). Candidates interested in this recruitment drive can submit their applications online until October 21, 2026.

**Eligibility Criteria**
Eligibility requirements vary by post for this recruitment:
**Navik (General Duty):** Must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
**Navik (Domestic Branch):** Must have passed Class 10 from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

**Hygienist-I:** Must have passed Matriculation or obtained an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate or equivalent qualification from an education board recognized by the Central or State Government.
**Yantrik:** Must have passed Class 10 from a COBSE-recognized board and hold a 3 or 4-year diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE); OR must have passed Classes 10 and 12 from a COBSE-recognized board and hold a 2 or 3-year diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by the AICTE. 

Age Limit
To apply for the post of Navik, candidates must have been born between November 1, 2005 (or May 1, 2005) and May 1, 2009. For the post of Hygienist-I, candidates must have been born between November 1, 2005, and October 1, 2009. Additionally, to apply for the post of Yantrik, the date of birth must fall between November 1, 2002, and October 1, 2009. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with the rules.
