The Indian Navy has initiated the application process for the Agniveer (Apprentice) recruitment 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for young individuals holding diplomas in engineering and electrical streams. Under this recruitment drive, unmarried male candidates will be selected for batches 01/2027 and 02/2027. Who can apply?
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, they must hold a three-year diploma in the relevant trade from an AICTE-recognized institute, securing at least 50% marks in the diploma course.

What is the age limit?
For batch 01/2027, the candidate's date of birth must fall between December 1, 2004, and May 31, 2009. For batch 02/2027, the date of birth must be between May 1, 2005, and October 31, 2009.

Selection Process
The first stage of the recruitment process will be the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), scheduled for August 2026. This computer-based test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions. Successful candidates will be called for a physical fitness test, a written examination, and a medical examination.

Physical Test and Salary
Candidates will be required to complete a 1.6-kilometer run within 6 minutes and 30 seconds. They must also perform 20 squats, 15 push-ups, and 15 sit-ups. Selected Agniveers will receive a monthly salary of ₹30,000 during the first year. In addition, they will be provided with a risk allowance, a dress allowance, a travel allowance, and an insurance cover of ₹48 lakh.
