There's good news for young people dreaming of a government job in the police department. The Punjab Police Department has announced recruitment for the vacant constable positions in the District Police and Armed Police cadres. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the constable positions can fill out the application form from today, March 10th, until the deadline of March 30, 2026. Please note that applications can only be submitted online; any other form will not be accepted.
Eligibility and Criteria
To participate in this recruitment, you must have passed the 12th grade from a recognized board. Passing the 10th grade with Punjabi (compulsory or elective) or an equivalent examination with Punjabi language is mandatory. In addition to the educational qualifications, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and at most 28 years of age. Candidates from reserved categories will be given exemptions based on the rules.
Application Fee
It is mandatory to submit the prescribed fee along with the application for this recruitment. The fee is ₹1,200 for the general category, ₹700 for SC/ST (all states), EWS, and OBC categories. Ex-servicemen/descendants of ex-servicemen from Punjab will have to pay ₹500.

Selection Process
Applicants will first be required to appear for a Common Computer-Based Test (CBT). Successful candidates will then be called for a Physical Screening Test (PST), document verification, and medical examination. Candidates who succeed in all stages will be included in the final list.
