The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released new application dates for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. Interested candidates will now be able to apply from September 19th to 29th, 2025. The application process will be completely online. Candidates can also apply through the steps outlined here.

When will the application and exam be held?

The BSEB has stated in its notice that applications can be submitted from September 19th to September 29th, until 11 pm. Previously, applications were scheduled to be submitted between September 11th and 19th, but due to technical reasons, the dates had to be extended. The exam will now be held between October 4 and October 25, 2025. The results will be declared in November.

Candidates should apply by visiting the Bihar Board's official website, secondary.biharboardonline.com or bsebstet.org. They must fill out the form and pay the fees online.

Eligibility for the Exam

The Bihar STET exam is conducted in two parts – Paper 1 (Secondary Teacher) and Paper 2 (Higher Secondary Teacher). Paper 1 (Secondary Level) – Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree. Postgraduates can also apply. Paper 2 (Higher Secondary Level) – A master's degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed./BA/B.Ed. degree are required. Step 2: Enter your basic information and create a user ID and password.

Step 3: Candidates should log in and complete the application form.

Step 4: Upload your passport-sized photo, signature, and educational documents.

Step 5: Then, submit the application fee online.

Step 6: Check the preview of the form before submitting it.

Step 7: After submitting the application, take a printout of the form.
