AIIMS NORCET 9: Opportunity for B.Sc and GNM degree holders! Applications started for 3500 posts of Nursing Officer..

AIIMS NORCET 9 Registration: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test NORCET-9 (2025). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website aiimsexams.ac.in till 11 August 2025. This recruitment is being done for various AIIMS institutes across the country.
A total of 3,500 posts are available under this recruitment process. Out of these, 1,412 posts are reserved for the unreserved category, 984 posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL), 522 posts for Scheduled Castes (SC), 239 posts for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 343 posts for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
Essential Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. from an institute/university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council. Nursing or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree. Also, registration of the candidate as a nurse and midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council is mandatory. Apart from this, candidates who have obtained a diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) are also eligible, provided they are registered as nurses and midwives.
Experience-related conditions
It is also necessary for application in all participating AIIMS institutes that the candidate should have at least two years of work experience in a hospital with a minimum of 50 beds after obtaining the above educational qualification.
It is worth noting that these two years of experience will be valid only if it is obtained after completing the qualification, completion of the training period of the course, declaration of results, and registration with the Nursing Council.
Age limit and relaxation information
The minimum age of the candidates applying for the post of Nursing Officer in all AIIMS has been fixed at 18 years, and the maximum age at 30 years. However, reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyang etc.) will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the rules. This relaxation will be applicable as per the recruitment rules of the respective institutes or hospitals. Age will be calculated as per the last date for submission of the application form.

General and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 3000 for the application, while Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 2400. At the same time, disabled (PwBD) candidates have been given a complete exemption from the fee. Fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Exam Dates
The selection process for the post of Nursing Officer will be conducted in two phases. The first phase (NORCET Preliminary) will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), the date of which has been fixed as 14 September 2025. After this, the second phase (NORCET Main) will also be conducted on 27 September 2025 in the form of CBT. Both stages of the exam are compulsory and the final selection will be based on these.
How much salary will be given?
The salary for the post of Nursing Officer will be as per Level-07, which will be Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400 per month (as per Pay Matrix, grade pay Rs 4600).
