Agniveer Recruitment: There's good news for the youth of Uttarakhand. Agniveer recruitment will be conducted in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, starting January 15, 2026. This recruitment will be conducted by the Garhwal Rifles, Lansdowne Army Recruitment Office, and will be held at the Gabbar Singh Camp in Kotdwar from January 15, 2026.  According to the information, the Agniveer recruitment will be held for General Duty, Clerk/SKT, Technical, and Tradesman positions.

This recruitment will include candidates who have passed the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) 2025 for Agniveer recruitment. This recruitment will be conducted for eligible candidates from the 7 districts of the Garhwal region under the Army Recruitment Office, Lansdowne. These districts include Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Dehradun, and Haridwar. A large number of young people from these districts are expected to participate in the recruitment.

What is the Agnipath Recruitment Scheme?
The Agnipath recruitment scheme recruits young people aged 17.5 to 21 years into all three branches of the armed forces for a period of four years. After completing four years, there is a provision to retain 25 percent of the youth for another 15 years of service. The first batch of Agniveers is set to complete their four years of service this year.

How much is the salary?
Under this scheme, Agniveers receive a salary of Rs 30,000 per month in the first year, with an in-hand salary of Rs 21,000. The remaining amount goes into a special corpus fund. In the second year, the salary increases to Rs 33,000. In the third year, it becomes Rs 36,500, and in the fourth year, Rs 40,000. In the fourth year, the in-hand salary is Rs 28,000.
