AFCAT 01/2026 Notification 2025: If you want to join the Indian Air Force, you can make your dream a reality through AFCAT. The Indian Air Force has started the online registration process for the Common Admission Test (AFCAT 2026). Candidates can apply for this recruitment exam starting November 17th until the last date of December 14, 2025. The form-filling link is available on the official website, afcat.edcil.co.in.

This recruitment process is accepting applications for AFCAT entry as well as NCC special entry. Therefore, those who have previously served in the NCC can also apply. A total of 340 positions will be filled. Both male and female candidates (technical and non-technical) can apply for the recruitment branch.

What are the eligibility requirements for AFCAT?
Educational Qualification: To apply for the Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment Form for the Flying Branch, candidates must have completed a 10+2 degree course with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks and a three-year degree course/B.E./B.Tech. With a minimum of 60% marks.

For the Ground Duty (Technical) Branch, candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree/B.E./B.Tech./B.Com./CA/B.Sc. /CA/B.Sc., etc., with various subjects from Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) or Mechanical Engineering.

Age Limit: For the AFCAT Flying Branch and NCC Special Entry, candidates must be between 20 and 24 years of age. This means they must not have been born before January 2, 2003, nor after January 1, 2007. Candidates between 20 and 26 years of age can apply for Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical). Applicants' date of birth must be no later than January 2, 2001, and no later than January 1, 2007.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected through a written exam, AFSB interview, medical exam, and final merit list. You can also prepare for the written exam using AI. How to Apply?
To fill out the AFCAT form, first visit the official website, afcat.edcil.co.in.
Enter your name (as per your 10th-grade marksheet), mobile number, and email ID, and verify it via OTP.
Now sign in by entering your user ID, password, and captcha code.
Select your exam category. Fill in all the details like your name, email ID, nationality, mobile number, primary proof like Aadhaar card, permanent address, correspondence address, qualification, etc.

Upload your scanned photo in 100kb to 200kb size, signature in 80kb to 150kb size, and thumb impression in 50kb to 100kb size. Upload your photo using live image capture.
Check the declaration, pay the application fee, and finally submit the form.

How much will the application fee be?
Candidates will have to pay an examination fee of ₹550 when filling out the AFCAT form. There is no fee for SSC Special Entry and Metrological Entry candidates. The application fee can be submitted online.
