How will the Selection Process be Conducted?

The process begins with a written examination (AFCAT), which features questions covering General Knowledge, English, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude. For Ground Duty (Technical) posts, a valid GATE score is also a mandatory requirement. Additionally, candidates holding an NCC ‘C’ Certificate are granted special concessions for entry into the Flying Branch.

Following this, candidates are required to appear for an Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview, which comprises assessments of mental aptitude, group tasks, and a personal interview. For the Flying Branch, a Pilot Aptitude Test is also conducted. Upon the completion of all these stages, a medical examination is conducted, and the final selection is made based on a merit list.

The application fee has been prescribed for different categories of candidates. For the AFCAT entry, candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹550 + GST ​​(which is non-refundable). However, candidates applying through the NCC Special Entry or via a valid GATE score are exempt from paying any application fee.
