A major update has emerged regarding DSSSB recruitment; the Delhi government is preparing to make changes to the age limit..

 |

Big news has emerged regarding the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) examinations scheduled for March. These exams have been temporarily postponed. The Delhi government is seriously considering increasing the age limit for the DSSSB examinations. Therefore, the exams have been put on hold for the time being. The recruitment for TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) and PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) positions in Delhi government schools is conducted through the DSSSB examination. Candidates have long been demanding a relaxation in the age limit for these recruitments. Considering this demand, the government has temporarily suspended the exams and begun reviewing the age limit issue.

What is the whole issue?
Candidates say that the current age limit for the DSSSB examination is quite low, which excludes a large number of eligible candidates from the exam. Candidates are demanding that the maximum age limit for the PGT post be increased to 36 years and for the TGT post to 32 years. They argue that the age limit for teacher recruitment in Delhi is very strict compared to other states and central government recruitments.

Meanwhile, PRT (Primary Teacher) candidates are also demanding an additional five-year age relaxation. Currently, only candidates up to 30 years of age can appear for the DSSSB examinations in Delhi, which has led to continuous dissatisfaction among the candidates.

Following orders from Education Minister Ashish Sood, the Education Department and concerned officials are deliberating on the proposal to increase the age limit. According to sources, the government may soon take a final decision on this issue. If the government decides to increase the age limit, it could provide relief to thousands of candidates. Everyone is now waiting for the government's next decision, which will clarify the new exam dates and the extent of the age relaxation.
