Teachers Day: 50 teachers will be given the National Teacher Award, and President Murmu will honor them with her own hands

President Draupadi Murmu will give the National Teacher Award 2024 to 50 selected teachers on September 5. The program will be held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

The country is celebrating Teachers' Day on September 5 as the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Krishnan. On this occasion, the Department of School Education and Literacy of the Ministry of Education organizes a national-level ceremony every year to give National Awards to the best teachers in the country. This year the department has selected 50 teachers from various states and union territories for their outstanding contribution in the field of education, who will be honored by President Draupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhavan at 4.15 pm.

Names from 28 states, 3 union territories

These award winners have been selected from 28 states, 3 union territories, and 6 organizations. The list includes the names of 34 male and 16 female teachers, including 2 Divyang teachers and 1 teacher who works exclusively with children with special needs (CWSN). Apart from these 50 teachers, 16 teachers from the Department of Higher Education and 16 teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will also be honored on the occasion.
