Bihar News: Rahul Gandhi had undertaken a Voter Rights Yatra across Bihar regarding this issue. The latest data has further fueled the political battle surrounding the issue by revealing the number of infiltrators.

Bihar News: Patna. The final draft of the voter list for the Bihar Assembly elections has been released. The names of millions of people have been deleted from the voter list, while the number of new voters is also in the millions. During the SIR, the deletion of names from the voter list in Bihar was a highly political issue. The opposition alleged that the Commission was removing the names of voters supported by them, while those in power claimed that this would expel infiltrators who had already become voters. Now that the final list has been released, figures are emerging that only 6,000 of the total voters removed were found to be foreign nationals.

She became an Indian voter after marriage.

An English newspaper claims that out of the 3.66 lakh names removed from the final voter list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar before the publication of the list, approximately 6,000 names were removed due to non-Indian citizenship. However, the majority of these names removed from the voter list are women voters. Most of these women voters are Nepalese citizens who became Indian voters after marriage. No such number was found after the 6.5 million names were removed from the draft list. In accordance with the Election Commission of India's guidelines of June 24, these 6,000 cases will be referred to the relevant authorities.

A political battle erupted over the issue of infiltration.

During the SIR, a political battle erupted in Bihar over the issue of "infiltrators." The BJP has alleged that a large number of Bangladeshi infiltrators remain voters in Bihar and their names should be removed from the voter list. The Grand Alliance alleged that the BJP and the administration were conspiring to remove the names of the poor and underprivileged from voter lists. Rahul Gandhi had undertaken a Voter Rights Yatra across Bihar to address this issue.
