You can pursue two academic programs simultaneously at Jamia, provided you meet these three conditions; find out what they are..
Jamia Millia Islamia has issued new regulations allowing students to pursue two academic programs simultaneously. Under these rules, undergraduate and postgraduate students can undertake a second academic program alongside their current one, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Separate eligibility requirements and conditions must be fulfilled for admission to each of the two programs.
According to the regulations, students may pursue two regular programs concurrently, provided there is no clash in class timings. Additionally, combinations such as a regular program with an online or Open and Distance Learning (ODL) program, as well as online-online or ODL-online combinations, are permissible. Online and ODL programs must be pursued through recognized institutions.
**Option to Study with Foreign Universities**
Jamia has also established guidelines for twinning, joint degree, and dual degree programs in collaboration with foreign higher education institutions. In a dual degree program, a student earns separate degrees from both institutions, whereas a joint degree results in a single degree issued jointly by both institutions. In a twinning program, part of the coursework is completed at Jamia and the remainder at the foreign institution, with the final degree being issued by Jamia.
