This shift is primarily designed for working candidates, allowing them to attend classes in the evening after completing their workday.

**Data Upload by August 7**
The Skill Development Department has approved the third shift for UP ITIs. Following this approval, preparations have accelerated to upload institutional data onto the National Instructor Management System (NIMS) portal by August 7. Subsequently, a trade-wise breakdown of available seats for the third shift will be released.

**Apply by August 14; Admission Based on 10th-Grade Marks**
Along with the introduction of the third shift, the admission window for these courses has also opened. Preparations are underway to admit a total of 1.5 lakh candidates. Applications can be submitted until August 14. However, for admission under the "Dual System Training" mode (which involves an agreement between the industry and the ITI), applications will be accepted until September 30. Changes have been made to the admission process, under which admissions will be granted based on Class 10 marks. Lists of eligible candidates will be prepared at the state, district, and block levels. A system for releasing additional merit lists to fill vacant seats will also remain in place.

Over 3,800 ITIs and 5 Lakh+ Seats in UP
More than 3,800 ITIs are operational in UP. Of these, 305 are government-run, while 3,300 are privately operated. Collectively, these ITIs offer over 5 lakh seats; government ITIs account for more than 1.34 lakh seats, while private ITIs provide over 3.71 lakh seats.
