Women Reservation Bill: There is a lot of craze among the youth about government jobs. The state and central government announce vacancies in various posts and departments every year. Women Reservation Bill: What relaxation do women get in government jobs?

Many types of relaxation are provided to women through reservations in government jobs (Women Reservation in Govt Jobs). Know about them-

1- In many government jobs, some posts are already reserved for women. Apart from women candidates, seats are also reserved for divorced female candidates and widowed female candidates. Let us tell you that only women are appointed to these posts.

2- In some government jobs, women are also given relaxation in the upper age limit at the time of employment as per the rules.

3- Women are also provided reservation in government jobs according to different categories.

4- While applying for various government jobs, the fee for women is kept NIL i.e. zero. They do not have to deposit any fee for the form as well.

5- After the appointment of a woman in a government job, she is given preference for posting in her hometown.

OBC Reservation in Central Govt Jobs: How much relaxation do SC, ST, EWS, and OBC get in government jobs?

According to Article 16 of the Constitution, special relaxation is given to candidates of SC, ST, etc. categories in the Central Government-

ST category – 7.5%

SC category – 15%

OBC category – 27%

EWS category – 10%

For government jobs in which there is direct recruitment (where there is no open competition), the following quota has been fixed-

For SC category – 16.66%

For ST category – 7.5%

For the OBC category – 25.84%.
