If you are preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2027, it is essential to understand not just the study material, but also the intricacies of the admission process for MBBS and BDS programs in the country. Admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges are based on the 'All India Quota' and 'State Quota.' Due to these factors, candidates with lower NEET UG scores can sometimes secure admission to MBBS or BDS programs. In this context, we will look at government and private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh (UP) that offer admission with the lowest NEET UG scores, and explore the differences in their fee structures. We will also examine the various factors—beyond just the NEET UG score—that influence admission into medical courses.

Factors Influencing Admission to Medical Courses (MBBS/BDS)
A valid NEET UG score from the current academic year is mandatory for admission to medical courses like MBBS and BDS. The NEET UG examination is conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Admissions to MBBS and BDS programs in medical colleges are facilitated through two primary types of counseling: Central counseling and State counseling.
Central counseling covers all seats in central medical colleges, as well as 15% of the seats in state-run medical colleges; this is known as the 'All India Quota' (AIQ).
Each state conducts its own counseling process for 85% of the seats in the medical colleges under its jurisdiction; these are referred to as 'State Quota' seats.
Additionally, admissions are subject to reservation policies for categories including EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities).
