Exam held in multiple phases in June
The NTA conducted the UGC NET June 2026 exam on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30. A re-examination was also held on July 5 for some candidates. The exam was conducted in computer-based mode across 87 subjects. The UGC NET exam is used to select candidates for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor, and PhD admissions in universities across the country.
Response sheet to be provided alongside the answer key
Upon the release of the provisional answer key, the NTA will also make the candidates’ response sheets and question papers available. This will allow individuals to cross-check their answers and estimate their probable scores. If there are objections regarding any question or answer, candidates will be able to submit them online within the stipulated timeframe. A non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question applies to raising objections against the answer key. Candidates must also provide appropriate evidence and arguments to support their claims. Only objections submitted via the official portal within the designated period will be considered. Subject experts will review all objections, after which the final answer key will be released. The UGC NET June 2026 result will be prepared based on this final answer key.
