UP Shikshamitra Salary: Currently, around 1.43 lakh Shikshamitras are teaching in schools in Uttar Pradesh. They are considered the backbone of basic education. After a long wait, they have now received a major relief. The Uttar Pradesh government has formally announced an honorarium increase, which will directly impact the income of millions of families. After the announcement in the Assembly, it is clear that Shikshamitras will now receive more money each month than before.

Amidst inflation, household expenses, and children's education, this income will prove to be a major support for them. This decision, which came before Holi, is being considered a major relief for Shikshamitras. Now, everyone's attention is on when they will receive their increased salary. Let us tell you the complete details about this.

Salary will be 18,000 rupees

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced in the Legislative Assembly that the honorarium of Shikshamitras will be increased to 18,000 rupees per month. Until now, they were receiving 10,000 rupees, which means a direct increase of 8,000 rupees. This increase is considered the result of a long-standing demand by Shikshamitras. The government states that its role in the education system is essential, and therefore, it is necessary to empower it financially. This decision will directly increase the monthly income of millions of families. This is being seen as a major relief among Shikshamitras.

Implemented from April

The government has clarified that the increased honorarium will be implemented from April. This means that the payment of 18,000 rupees per month will be made in the April salary itself. This means that Shikshamitras will begin receiving the benefits of the increased amount with the start of the new financial year. The necessary procedures are being completed at the administrative level so that the salaries can be credited to Shikshamitras' accounts from April.

Direct Benefits for Instructors

This decision will not only impact Shiksha Mitras (teachers). The salaries of over 28,000 instructors have also been increased. They will now receive ₹17,000 per month. Instructors assist students in special subjects and activities in schools. Therefore, their role is considered crucial. The salary increase will directly improve their income. Instructors will also begin to benefit from the increased salary once the new rates are implemented in April.
