The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to release the admit cards for the NEET PG exam today, August 24, 2026. Approximately 2.73 lakh candidates are appearing for the NEET PG exam scheduled for August 30. In this context, it is crucial to download your hall ticket on time and understand every instruction—major or minor—related to the exam.
What is the biggest fear that arises when you hear the name of any exam? It is the worry: what if the computer screen suddenly goes blank, the mouse stops working, or the power at the center goes out? If such thoughts are crossing your mind, pause and take a deep breath. The medical board (NBEMS) has issued clear instructions stating that if any technical glitch occurs in the NEET PG exam hall, there is absolutely no need to panic—you will not lose even a single second of your exam time.

What to do if a technical glitch occurs at the NEET PG exam center?
According to the official NBEMS advisory, follow these rules if a technical issue arises during the NEET PG exam:
If the power goes out: As soon as the power fails or there is a server interruption, the exam timer running on your screen will immediately pause at that exact moment. As soon as the system restarts, the timer will resume counting from the point where it had stopped.
If the system locks up or hangs: Immediately raise your hand to alert the invigilator if the mouse stops responding, the screen flickers, or the computer hangs. The IT manager present will verify your account and unlock the system.
Seat change facility: In the event of a major malfunction with your system or in the lab, you will be immediately shifted to another 'buffer' seat within the same lab or to a different lab.
