Let us tell you that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the starting date for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier-1 Examination 2024. According to the official notification, the examination will be conducted across the country in three shifts starting from July 1, 2024. This exam is conducted for the recruitment of Lower Division Clerks (LDC), Postal Assistants (PA), Sorting Assistants (SA), and Data Entry Operators (DEO) in various central government departments.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

General Intelligence (Reasoning): This section will test the analytical and logical reasoning abilities of the candidate. It will include questions on analogy, classification, series completion, coding-decoding, blood relation, puzzles, etc. It will be of 50 marks.

Quantitative Aptitude: This section will assess the numerical ability and problem-solving skills of the candidate. It will include topics like Number System, Simplification, HCF, LCM, Average, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Measurement, Time and Work, etc. This section will also be of 50 marks.

General Awareness: This section will evaluate the candidate's knowledge of current affairs, history, geography, science, politics, economics, and other areas of general knowledge. This section will also be of 50 marks. English Language: This section will test the candidate's proficiency in English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. This section will be of 50 marks.
The total number of questions in this exam paper will be 100, which will be of 200 marks. There will also be negative marking in this exam, in which 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
