CBSE 10th, 12th exam dates 2026: The first phase of the CBSE 10th exam will be held from February 17th to March 9th, while the second phase will be held from May 15th to June 1st. Meanwhile, the CBSE 12th exams will be held from February 17th to April 9th, 2026.
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is scheduled to conduct the 2026 Class 10 and 12th exams from February 17th. The board has released the tentative exam datesheet, which is available on the official website www.cbse.gov.in.
This year, the CBSE 10th exam will be held in two phases, while the Class 12 exam will be held in a single phase starting in February. The first phase of CBSE 10th exams will be held from February 17 to March 9, while the second phase will be conducted from May 15 to June 1. Meanwhile, the CBSE 12th exams will run from February 17 to April 9, 2026. This year, approximately 4.5 million students from India and 26 other countries are expected to appear for these exams.
Evaluation Process and Result Dates
The evaluation of CBSE 10th and 12th answer sheets will begin 10 days after the exam for each subject and will be completed within 12 days. For example, if the 12th Physics exam is on February 20, evaluation is expected to begin on March 3 and be completed by March 15, 2026.
Based on previous years' trends, CBSE 10th and 12th results have been declared within 50 to 60 days of the exam's completion. Last year, the 10th-grade exam ended on March 18th, and the results were declared on May 13th, 56 days after the exam. In 2024, the 10th-grade result was declared on May 13th, 60 days after the exam.
10th and 12th Result Dates for 2026
The 12th-grade result was released on May 13th in 2025, within 56 days of the exam. Last year, the 12th-grade result was declared on April 2nd, 41 days after the exam ended on May 13th.
