UPTET Result 2026: UPESSC has removed the UPTET result from its official portal; will the result be re-released?
There is important news for candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh TET-2026 examination. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has removed the UPTET Result 2026 from its official portal, upessc.up.gov.in. Following the initial release of results, the status for approximately 60,000 candidates appeared as "rejected" on the website; consequently, the result link was taken down.
**What is the issue? ****
The UPTET 2026 results were released by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on August 26, 2026. After the release, the results of around 60,000 candidates were displayed as "rejected" on the website. The primary reasons cited for this rejection included invalid roll numbers, incorrect question paper booklet numbers, and errors in filling out other mandatory fields, which prevented the computer software from evaluating the OMR sheets.
**Passed according to the answer key, but failed in the result**
After the results were declared, some candidates claimed that their scores were higher when matched against the provisional and final answer keys, yet their scores in the final result were lower. This discrepancy led to protests by many candidates immediately after the results were announced. In response, senior commission officials convened an emergency meeting and decided to constitute a committee.
**Formation of a five-member committee**
Following student complaints, the commission has formed a five-member committee. The committee's primary task is to thoroughly investigate the grievances raised by the candidates. Additionally, the committee will re-examine the answer sheets and the online evaluation process. Once the investigation is complete, the committee will submit a report to the commission. If any irregularities are found in the results, they will be rectified immediately.
**Will the results be re-released?**
While the commission has currently removed the UPTET result link from the portal, no official information regarding a re-release has been shared so far. According to various reports, the Commission is likely rectifying the technical glitch that affected the results. The result link will be reactivated on the portal shortly.
**Opportunity to submit representations until September 10**
In a notice issued by the Commission, it has been stated that candidates facing any issues regarding the UPTET results may submit representations via email to upesscprayagraj@gmail.com by September 10. Additionally, candidates can submit their representations by visiting the office in person or sending them via post.
