The wait for the results is finally coming to an end for the 1,770,714 candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2026). The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is scheduled to hold a meeting today, August 25, where a decision regarding the results may be taken.

In addition to announcing the UPTET 2026 result date, the Commission may also provide information regarding the recruitment for 2,107 vacant Assistant Professor posts in 330 government-aided colleges and 2,615 vacant Lecturer (PGT) posts in aided intermediate colleges.

**Minimum passing marks for the UPTET exam**
To qualify for the UPTET exam, candidates belonging to the General category must secure 90 out of 150 marks (i.e., 60%). Meanwhile, candidates from OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories are required to obtain 82 out of 150 marks (i.e., a minimum of 55%).

Once the UPTET results are released, candidates can check their results and download their scorecards by following these simple steps:

**When was the exam held?**
